Defra Funding
DEFRA has provided £181,000 for the year 2005/6 to fund activity under the Strategy for Sustainable Food and Farming in the South West. The types of funding which might be funded by this money are those which are:
Innovative.
Practical/applied.
Relatively small scale (in general <£25k).
No other sources of funding.
Pump priming.
Fits within the South West Strategy for Sustainable Food and Farming.
Primarily or exclusively benefits the South West of England.
Primarily of public benefit with the emphasis on environmental and/ or socio-economic benefit.
