Benefit from Environmental Land Management
Natural Unit Based Brands has been trialed in the Peak District and has proved very successful. Natural England as topic lead, is using this pilot as a basis for extended work in the South West region. They have developed a network of interested parties and have held various workshops, inviting speakers such the consultant who has carried out work in the Cotswolds area and the manager of Meat South West.

Environmental Quality Mark (EQM) for the Peak District Summary Report
This report summarises the work carried out between 2001 and 2005 to create an Environmental Quality Mark (EQM) for the Peak District. The Peak District was the first area in the country for this work to be established and the report is a useful read if considering cultivating a local brand.

Agricultural Waste - Waste Management Controls
What is agricultural waste?
There is no definitive list of what is or is not waste. However agricultural waste includes discarded pesticide containers, plastics such as silage wrap, bags and sheets, packaging waste, tyres, batteries, clinical waste, old machinery and oil etc.

Environmental Stewardship
Environmental Stewardship is a new agri-environment scheme which provides funding to farmers and other land managers in England who deliver effective environmental management on their land.
The scheme is intended to build on the recognised success of the Environmental Sensitive Areas scheme and the Countryside Stewardship Scheme.
It's primary objectives are to:
- Conserve wildlife (biodiversity)
- Maintain and enhance environment and natural resources
- Protect the historic environment and natural resources
- Promote public access and understanding of the countryside
- Natural resource protection
